Kevin Schaefer

Florida disability attorney Kevin Schaefer began working with Dabdoub Law Firm as a clerk while still in law school at the University of Miami School of Law. Upon graduating magna cum laude in 2016, Kevin joined the firm full-time as an associate attorney. Now, he works with clients who are seeking both short-term and long-term benefits, handling everything from wrongfully denied or terminated claims to appealing or litigating such matters in state and federal courts. Kevin works with clients who are owed benefits via group or individual disability insurance policies.

Kevin mainly focuses his practice on helping clients who are dealing with claims under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). He has taken on a large number of major insurance companies on behalf of his clients, working to assist those dealing with chronic pain and fatigue, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, stroke, Meniere’s disease, cardiovascular disease, concussions, and cognitive impairments. Kevin has even represented former NFL athletes in fighting for complete, permanent disability benefits.

Before earning his law degree, Kevin attended the University of Central Florida. There, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Sports Business Management. He graduated summa cum laude before going on to attend law school at the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, Kevin was the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Representing a Pro Sports Franchise. Prior to joining Dabdoub Law Firm, he worked for the legal department of a large infrastructure corporation.
