Geannina Burgos is a partner at Dabdoub Law Firm. A skilled Florida disability lawyer, she assists clients throughout the entire disability benefits claims process, offering sound legal counsel and aggressive representation every step of the way. She regularly helps clients begin the filing process for both individual and group claims, navigate the appeals process after a claim is denied, and litigates wrongfully denied or terminated benefits on behalf of her clients. She has extensive experience in both state and federal courts, and routinely handles cases that fall under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
Nina’s outstanding work on behalf of her clients has earned her a number of fellowships from prestigious, nationwide organizations. She is a member of the American Society of Public Administrators, the Florida Bar Young Lawyers’ Division, the Ruden McClosky Foundation, and the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. As a law student, she was honored with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Mediation and participated in her school’s Community Development Clinic. She also served as a judicial clerk under the Honorable Judge Barbara Lagoa in the Third District Court of Appeal during her time in law school.
At Dabdoub Law Firm, Nina mainly focuses on clients who are owed disability insurance policy benefits either through private/individual insurance policies or under long-term policies set forth by their employers. She strives to provide each and every one of her clients with the compassionate guidance they need and the aggressive advocacy they deserve.
Before becoming an attorney, Nina was classically trained in both ballet and modern dance. She also served as the manager of a large, nonprofit organization that provided arts education at multiple different sites. Nina remains active in the nonprofit arts community to this day, serving on the boards for a number of cultural organizations. She has also served as a volunteer grant panelist for multiple cultural institutions. Along with her law degree, Nina has a Master’s in Entrepreneurship. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, a skill that she uses to help clients receive the care and attention they need.
