Edward Dabdoub
Founding AttorneyEdward Dabdoub is an experienced Florida disability lawyer and the founding attorney of Dabdoub Law Firm. Since the beginning of his legal career, Eddie has focused his practice on helping people recover the disability benefits they were owed from large, nationwide disability insurance companies. He has extensive experience assisting individuals with all aspects of disability claims, from initial filing to appeals to litigation. Eddie is especially experienced in cases involving the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (“ERISA”), as this statue applies to many of his clients’ cases. Throughout his legal career, he has litigated numerous cases in both state and federal courts and has helped clients stand up to major insurance companies such as Liberty Life, Mass Mutual, Aetna, Principal Financial, Met Life, Prudential, CIGNA or Life Insurance Company of North America (LINA), Hartford, and UNUM.
Eddie was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. He attended the University of Miami where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics before going on to Florida International University where he graduated top of his class with a Master’s in Business Administration. Eddie earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law where he was awarded the Ambassador Sue Cobb Scholarship. He graduated law school with honors cum laude before beginning his legal career in disability benefits law.
Eddie comes from a family of legal professionals. Four of his immediate relatives are also attorneys. In addition to his extensive experience and expansive legal career, Eddie has been an invited guest speaker at a number of local and national law conferences. He has also published several articles related to disability insurance matters and often provides counsel for other attorneys on matters ranging from ERISA issues to general disability insurance.
